I'm a big fan of the Poseidon XStream setups; they have a few different models.

They are durable, easy to breath at all depths, all temps, 2nd stage is super light/comfortable in the mouth and have side discharge for exhaust bubbles.

FD, that reminds me, the few times I do open circuit as of late, I HATE how exhaust t's on standard regs swarm your face with bubbles.

When I was a kid, exhaust t's were just that, large rectangular rubber pieces that deflected bubbles under the sides of your face.

I did just look at the APEX today and I must say it is a nice regulator. Truthfully, any of the high end regulators are going to be great. Look into what the cost of rebuilding one is and the warranty. Many offer lifetime parts as long as you have it rebuilt every year.

I wonder if you ever even purchased a regulator?
