That actually sounds like one of the best jobs. Think of it, you get to spend all day chasing after and watching whales. You take a net and scoop up their poop, look at it under a microscope, write a report and do it all again the next day. I am sure you would get to see whales from above and below the water. I'll take that job, a little (or really a lot) of whale poop is not going to bother me.

I have, on many an occasion, had to "repair" Lavs on aircraft coming off of long trips. I will only say that there is a reason why the most junior mechanic (engineer, for the civilized world) has the "privelage" of this wonderful, career building experience. I will not willingly place myself in "that position", EVER!!!
