    Default Sample TeleMacro footage

I try to emulate commercial movies and TV, using about 80% close-ups. Of course critters spook when I approach, so now it's rebreather, and use the tele-macro feature of my Sony HVR-A1U HD camcorder. Here's a short clip of a crab at Race Rocks, out of Victoria, BC. The camera remains at the same distance from the crab. Holding steady is a major challenge. Plus the unexpected, like the kelp that got into the shot. I threw this together is just a few minutes for another forum on camera technique, so no soundtrack or polished presentation.

    Here's the clip:

    Thumbs up

Keep up the great work. I subscribed to your you tube channel. Rebreathers are a key piece of equipment for u/w video and audio! Awesome!

wow, the keeping steady thing is tough. A slight current that doesn't bother you diving suddenly becomes like a torrent when you are trying to take a shot, especially macro.
