Wanted to say "hello". I finally got around to signing up for an open water course after thinking about it for several years--actually, both my wife and myself will be taking it in a couple of weeks. We generally go to the Caribbean every year and normally just do some snorkeling but it is time to "go a little deeper".

We are in the Houston area so there aren't a lot of local options for diving that I have seen; but I could be wrong.

In any case, I look forward to reading the various posts and absorbing as much information as possible.

Houston isn't a bad place to be in for diving at all, after all, it IS the starting point for just about every flight to the Caribbean known to mankind!
