Any recommendations for insurance in case the housing floods?

You could try talking to your normal insurance company...

For a while, I had an Inland Marine policy on my camera gear, and it covered everything, including water damage and mysterious disappearance.. on roughly $10,000 worth of camera gear, it was $93 a year...

Becareful, about having it on the same policy as your home owners insurance though.. because if you make a claim, I hear that they can and have dropped your complete policy..

I hadn't considered my own insurance company. I had heard that there are certain plans you can get just for a housing.
