Another good DVD..

I picked up a new DVD today.. "IMAX: Deep Sea" Narrated by Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet. Great DVD.. Never saw it in the theaters, but grabbed it when I saw it today.. Well worth the 19 bucks to add it in the water related DVD collection..

I finally saw this!

Incredible opening shot of moon jellies (“These are not visitors from an alien planet…”)! Santelmo would love the fried egg jelly fish (he’s fond of jellies, ya know ).

I sourced an extra DVD copy for my nephews. I’m betting they’ll enjoy the duel between the octopus and 10-inch California mantis shrimp (I’m on the latter’s side, brave little fella).

My own favorite portions would have to be the dramatic night shots of 1) manta rays scooping up plankton and 2) Humboldt squid battling it out -- narrated as the stuff of our nightmares.

The footage of the baby Right Whale interacting with the filming divers was fantastic too.

They should actively market this movie to kids…er, maybe they already do.
