    Default newport 3/24

I finally got back into the water with my speargun.

We went to Newports south jetty and dove the third finger jetty.

Dive #1 at 4:30 I got two copper rocks and three blue/black rock fish. My buddy was looking for lingcods and only came back with three nice size blue/black rockfish.

I was happy with my catch and my broken band (got most of mine with a single band on my 32" biller) that I took my camera in for the second dive at 6pm. My buddy came back with another good size blue rock and two kelp greenlings.

The cleaning station nearby really makes it nice for cleaning the fish, which we did in our wet & drysuuits in the windy pouring down rain.

I can't wait for the next time.
