Premier League, Liverpool, Chelsea transfer news Coutinho, Hazard to Barcelona, Costa, Benjamin Andre

WITH just a few short weeks remaining until the European transfer window slams shut, clubs across the continent are scrambling to get their last pieces of business over the line.

At this time of year there are endless stories linking players to clubs at all levels, but how do you know which are reliable and which are fantasy?

Our friends at Football Whispers use their unique algorithm to rate every transfer rumour out of five. Below are ten big deals to keep an eye on over the coming days and weeks.

Southampton are closing in on the £20million capture of Lemina in a deal that will make the Gabonese midfielder the South Coast club’s record signing.

Surplus to requirements at Juventus, the Italian champions are ready to cash in on the man they signed permanently from Marseille a year ago after a successful season on loan in Serie A.

The Guardian reports the Saints have agreed an initial £18million fee for Lemina, with a further £2million in conditional add ons, and the player will shortly undergo a medical in England.

Watford are set to complete a sensational swoop for Brazilian prodigy Richarlison, who’s been linked with moves to Chelsea and Ajax recently.

The dynamic 20 year old forward had caught the eye of European scouts with his performances in Brazil with Fluminense and the Hornets have moved quickest to tie up a deal for the youngster.

However, Watford need to obtain a work permit for Richarlison before the switch can be rubber stamped.

In a transfer saga that has been rumbling on for several weeks now, Everton remain in pursuit of Swansea midfielder Sigurdsson.

The Toffees have reportedly seen two offers for the Icelandic playmaker knocked back by the Swans, who value the 27 year old at £50million.

But it seems as though a deal may finally have been struck, according to The Independent, although no fee has been confirmed.

Diego Costa was left out of Chelsea’s squad for the Community Shield against Arsenal at Wembley at the weekend with the player destined for a Stamford Bridge exit.

AC Milan had been linked with a move for the Brazil born Spain international but it seems the player only has one destination in mind a return to Atletico Madrid.

Costa’s lawyer, Rafinha Jersey Ricardo Cardoso, told news agency EFE “We are going to activate all the legal mechanisms [to secure Costa’s exit] and formally present a transfer request... And he will not play for any other club which is not Atletico Madrid.”

With €222million burning a hole in their pocket after the sale of Neymar to Paris Saint Germain, Barcelona are moving quickly to ensure the Brazilian playmaker isn’t missed too sorely inside the Camp Nou.

Liverpool’s Coutinho is Barca’s top transfer target and widespread reports suggest the player has agreed personal terms with the Spanish side.

The Reds are reluctant to part ways with their star creator and have slapped what they believe to be a prohibitively high €100million price tag on the player, reports Sport.

But the Catalan giants might yet offer to include either Andre Gomes or Rafinha as a makeweight in any deal to ease the cash bruden.

Linked with Barcelona all summer, Dembele has become a priority target for the Blaugrana in the wake of Neymar’s departure.

Tipped to assume the brilliant Brazilian’s berth on the left of the Camp Nou front three, Sky Sports claim the 20 year old Frenchman is keen on a move to Catalonia.

However, Dortmund’s asking price could prove a stumbling block. According to Sport, the German side value Dembele at €110million, while Barca are preparing an initial bid of €70million.

A report by French newspaper Le Telegramme claims Liverpool have tabled a £15.4million bid for Rennes midfielder Benjamin Andre.

Andre, who was capped for France at under 20 level but has never featured for Les Bleus’ senior side, is believed to be on Reds boss Jurgen Klopp’s list of potential replacements for Lucas Leiva, who has left Anfield for Lazio.

Another player being linked with filling the Neymar shaped hole at the Camp Nou is Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.

The Belgian winger is currently recovering from a broken ankle but that hasn’t stopped reports of Barcelona’s interest in the one time Real Madrid transfer target.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte insists he wants to keep the player but the decision over the 26 year old’s future does not rest with him.

“Eden Hazard is a really top player,” The Italian tactician said. “But I repeat I am the coach and I can give my opinion. But the final decision is always the club’s.”

Coming with the endorsement of none other than Lionel Messi, Barcelona are weighing up a €120million move for Juventus superstar Dybala, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The diminutive Argentine attacker has developed into Serie A’s most exciting and effective forward player since joining the Bianconeri from Palermo two years ago, and is widely tipped to someday claim the Ballon d’Or when Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo relinquish their dominion of the award.
