    Default Dive Kayaks

Anyone know of any good dive kayaks that aren't too expensive?

For scuba or freediving? If freediving, will you be carrying spearguns?

I use an Aquaterra Prism. It has two large hatches, one in the front and one in the rear. I can fit all 4 of my spearguns in the front hatch, the longest being a Picasso 110. In the back I store my fins, mask, weightbelt, etc.

Another good kayak for this is the old style Ocean Kayak Scupper Pro with the two large hatches (not the new one with the tank well in the back). Most of the guys I dive with use this kayak. I just happen to find mine for cheap on Craigslist.org.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks I've been looking at craigslist but every reply back I've got is sold. I'm more looking for a scuba diving kayak, but I do what one to store spear guns too.

Which ever one you go for just be careful when you paddle home after a dive. Strenuous activity after diving can promote a bend and bubble activity.
