see ya.
just remember , boys and girls
You can buy the gear, you can buy the cards and if you kiss the right ass, you can buy the boat ride but you can never buy experience.
Yea,
Been diving for a little bit. Sort of become the mother hen when
it comes to watching others. Alway thinking about the safety of
others, thats why the training. I don't want to be unprepared.
Having a well rounded Knowledge base, using something learned
in one area to apply to another has really rounded out my abilities.
My friends say of there is anyone they would want to be lost at
sea with, it Lars.
It's a way of life.

Hi Lars
Watching out for the safety of others and being prepared is a good thing when diving ,
Keep up the good work My friend
Proteus
First one was SSI OW last one was CDAA Cave with about 500 or so dives in between with a number of other courses. Not sure how many dives to be exact cause i dont log them.
Matt
I haven't gotten to cave certs yet. That is schedule though.
I'm in, guess what? More training right now, yup. It's down time right
now. The Ocean where I'm at is like 54 degree's, which is fine, but the
4-6 swells will get to me. See, I'm a wus.. I get sea sick. Love diving
though. Love the heck out of it, so as you well know, once I get down about
15 feet or so, I'm one happy little pup.
Cavern and Cave 1 is schedule for sometime in May/June, schedule
permittining. I have the instructor lined up. I love the caverns, but video'ing
just caverns is not enough. I've penatrated a few time, I know, pretty stupid
but I feel confident with my Nav, bouyancy, Pin Fivots, frog kick, etc..
but that is no reason or excuse and I know it. It's the dude that follows
me like an elephant in a china store that gets me. Siltin everything up.
(Hey it looked real clear on the way in, what's the problem?). I know
how wonderful, beautiful some of these cave systems look. I know
it can draw you in to see just a little more. For those who are reading this
and are not cave certified, DO NOT go in unless you know what you
are doing. That means "Training and practice". Just remember, many
explorers who came before us, some died, so that we know how to do
it better, today. Don't repeat the mistakes of others. Don't become a
statistic. preaching again...
I want to learn it, not neccessarily to cave dive, but to understand the
lingo, understand conversations (I live in cave country), better my
knowledge base and of course penetrate (with very experenced cave divers)
when the opportunity arises and to be responsible. A lot of my friends are
cave divers and listening to them peaks my curiousity, yet they alway
remind me of the dangers.
Thanks for the feedbacks.. It's alway nice to give and receive positive
responses. Thats why I like diving so much, not just for the sport itself,
but the diversity of the character of the people.
