    Default Fresh water Speargun tips?

    Any tips on getting some big fresh water fish? I swim and I swim but no big fish!

    Plus if anybody has any pictures post them too.

    Burley up. If its just in a small river or creek with some overhanging trees try hanging some roadkill off a branch a few feet above the water. The flies will blow it a the maggots will drop into the water giving a pretty constant feed supply. If theres a lot of flow this wont work as they drift down river too quick but if its still or slowly flowing they will be in the same general area. Helps if its over a bit of a deep hole too.

    Know the fish & the habitat. Know there movements for the time of year your fishing. Dive and sit on the bottom and wait for them to come to you. If you swim around all the time you will scare them off. After a while of sitting and nothing comes around then change places and sit again. That's how we do it in the upper midwest

    Thanks for the advice I appreciate every little bit I get. I'm stoked to go this year the season opens on June first here in Utah.!
