Hi there,
Has anyone had any experience diving out of Honiara on their own? Was it safe enough. I really want to do the wrecks out of there but have no dive buddies ... not that sad, happy to go by myself just wondering if it's a good idea?

Nothing beats shipwrecks and sharks
Never been there, wish I could help you with that one.
Are you solo qualified and if so would those dive be pinnacle dives? If both yes and no respectively then go for it. If not both then don't.
The only thing I believe in is disbelief - except in the case of unexpected miracles.
I don't think Jane was referring to her diving ability but rather the safety of a woman traveling alone in a foreign country.
Hi Jane,
I wonder if the dive operator there can put you in touch with some other female guests who are also planning a trip in your time range.

Sorry. My bad.

Don't be sorry, I could be wrong anyway.
Doesn't look like anyone that visits the site on a regular basis has been there.
Yeah was aiming for the solo female safety rather than diving ... can't believe no-one's been there !!
Well, there are two schools of thought at work if you find another women to travel with you: Depending on where you go, you either increase the target size by twofold, or you decrease your chance of being the one picked for mayhem by 50%. Neither are good options. Travel with a guy, preferably one who is armed!
Or just go to the Philippines by yourself, we're safer there than in any major U.S. city or I can put you in touch with all sorts of women divers there.
