I was working on videos yesterday and looked out the window and saw a sea lion right off the beach... it took all my self control not to grab the kit and go play....

I sure do miss Seattle.
Lived off 45th with the lake view. Then Lynnwood, close to the water
but no water view. Near the ferry's. I think I would have done what you thought. Grab the gear and go.
