    Question leak at control rods

Our newly established wildlife videography company recently purchased two hd6 Equinox underwater housings. Our diver said they both leaked at the control rods that operate the camcorder buttons. Equinox sent us on new fittings which we installed. The leaks are still occurring. I am now thinking it may be something we are doing wrong. Should we be applying a grease or lubricant to the control rods? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Default Hello From Equinox

    Hello Stan,

You should lubricate the control rods, but the housing should not have leaked. We have the longest warranty in the industry (3 years) and we would gladly take them back so we can evaluate them and determine what the issue is.

    Thank You,
