    Just found this while looking around. Did that mean you werent allowed to dive on wrecks in South Africa or you just werent allowed to take stuff off them? Bit of a bummer either way but i bet people wont be taking it slowly since they only have until 2010 for the permits.

    It applies to those who had commercial salvage permits to work certain wrecks - if you want to remove/salvage stuff you need a permit for that specific wreck.

    Recreational divers are still allowed to dive on wrecks, those being worked are closely guarded by the salvors.
