At Risk teens + SCUBA = Dive Kulture
Hi,
I want to share this cool program created in Boston to help inner city, at risk kids by certifying them as divers. The program has been active for more than a year now and it is growing. The concept is really cool. Take a look at their website and especially to the video showing "certification day".

Thanks for the info. Mentoring teens through scuba diving can really help disobedient teenagers to recover from troubled behaviors. At S.T.A.R.S. (Scuba Training At-Risk Students) they also help at-risk teens to learn scuba diving, driving small boats, care for aquatic animals and help youths stay away from crime and gangs.
They are focused solely on at-risk teens (ages 13-17) with the goal to provide a positive diversionary activity incorporating scuba diving which reinforces and supports local academic achievement and career development.
