I recently returned from a month on PNG diving the south shore of New Britain Island on the MV FeBrina. This is an area just starting to become known for some exceptional critters. I think it rivals Lembeh in weird stuff.

I have not worked on the thousands of RAW files, but poking through the poorer quality JPEGS attached to them, I saw a few I liked. They have not been photoshopped, so excuse the quality....

We started in Rabaul, where the Tavurvur volcano has been fiercely erupting. It made life a bit uncomfortabl for the four days we spent there. Such a beautiful area (as I remember it from previous trips) that has now been decimated.

As we powered to the south shore, we were met with the usual villagers wanting to trade foodstuffs

Bombs in the bombay of a Mitsubishi float plane sunk in WWII

Dang! I just realized that this should, probably, be in the trip report section. Anyone care to move it?

Anyway, hopefully no one will mind if I post some more as I find them....
