    Default Diving Bali, Indonesia

    Absolute Scuba Bali

Bali, the island of the gods, is certainly a divine place to get your gear on and go for a dive. I am biased perhaps, as we live and work here, but please allow me to give you just a glimpse, an insight on diving one of the world’s finest and least explored dive destinations.
Most air companies now fly to Bali; Qantas, Garuda Indonesia, Singapore Airline, Cathay Pacific, to name but a few of the better known names. The main airport on the island is at Denpasar (Ngurah Rai International). The airport is surprisingly modern, very clean and newly refurbished. The Immigration section is generally fast and efficient. Beyond that, you will find a horde of friendly porters to help you with your luggage.
From here on, the traveler starts getting in touch with this heavenly island. Guests of Absolute Scuba will find themselves greeted by the driver and helped to one of our fleet of modern, air conditioned buses. Once inside, you will be offered bottled water and fresh cool face cloths to refresh before the onward journey to the resort. The transfer takes about an hour and a half, past padi rice fields and on towards Padang Bai.
Padang Bai is a small fishing village in Eastern Bali. It serves as a ferry port to Lombok, the Gilis, and Nusa Penida. It is a lovely town with long white sand beaches, popular with those wanting a quieter alternative to the larger ‘beach party’ towns of Kuta and Sanur. It has plenty of backpacker accommodation, restaurants, and internet cafes (although very slow). The main beach outside our complex is awash with colourful outrigger fishing boats in the shape of Marlin.
East Bali has very little nightlife, which is part of its appeal. The nightlife in Padang Bai revolves around the reggae bars, which offer live music most evenings in the high season. They get going around 10pm and will stay open until the last customer leaves. There is a large variety of different restaurants, most sell wonderful good priced fresh seafood, plus the usual travelers fare, or eat at the Warungs (roadside sellers). Cold Bintang (local beer) is available everywhere!
For interesting places to visit, Bali is king. The island is also well known as a place rich in cultures, beautiful Balinese dances and magnificent landscape panoramas from the hill top down to the sea. Elephant safari, white water rafting, Wellness Spa, river kayaking, snorkeling, mountain biking, trekking, temples, traditional village markets, museums, golf, fishing, surfing, shopping, sightseeing tours……….something for everybody!
Absolute Scuba and Padang Bai Beach Bungalows was Bali’s first purpose built dive resort, owned and operated by a team of Europeans and Australians, with more than 14 years experience in the dive industry, in and around Bali and Indonesia. We currently have 15 deluxe rooms, fully air conditioned, with TV, DVD and electric mini safes, which are decorated to balance Balinese design with Western functionality. The Narcosis café has a ‘swim up’ bar, part of our purpose built diver training pool. The restaurant is open air, with Japanese style tables, and a freshly stocked fish pond with relaxing fountains. Or you can choose to eat breakfast under the parasols, near the swimming pool.
There are 70 sets of quality Scuba Pro scuba diving equipment available for hire, all less than one year old, checked and serviced by our own qualified Scuba Pro technician. Dive kit is also available to buy in the Absolute dive retail shop. Nitrox fills are free for Nitrox certified divers; computer and camera rental completes the package. We are happy to download your underwater photos onto disc for you to take home and impress your friends.
With more than 25 dive sites available directly from our front door, with a maximum boat ride of 40 minutes, we can cater for every kind of dive experience; whether you seek out Shark, Manta Ray or Mola Mola, or want to find rare and bazaar reef species. We have deep or drift, walls or reefs, wrecks, cave or muck dives.
The variety of Bali’s marine life is extraordinary, from the awe-inspiring Giant Sunfish (Mola Mola) through a bewildering number of tropical fish species to an incredible richness of Nudibranchs, crustaceans and invertebrates. Amid all today’s stories of environmental gloom and disaster, it is exciting to be able to report that most of our reefs are in better condition than they were 7 years ago.
Absolute Scuba use only professional dive guides with over 2500 logged dives, all are renewed and insured Divemasters or Instructors, Padi and SSI. Our multi-lingual guides are very knowledgeable and know all dive sites intimately. From exhilarating and challenging dives to calm and relaxed ones, we can tailor a special package to suit your own dive ability and experience.
Absolute Scuba offers exceptional service and safety to all of our diving guests. We do not attempt to be the cheapest dive operator in Bali (though we’re certainly not the most expensive). Instead, we offer a range of services not matched by others. Our Padi/SSI Instructors and Divemasters will arrange Safaris or can teach the full range of courses in many languages including English, French, German, Dutch, Japanese, Korean and Indonesian.
When you compare, see if other operators offer the following:
    • Nusa Penida is just 20 minutes away
    • Boat pick-up at your doorstep
    • No long walks at low tide carrying your equipment. In fact, you need never carry it
    • Own dive vessel which means that it goes where our guests want
    • Fully equipped with life jackets, marine radio, mobile communications, oxygen, first aid, and flares, and for the ladies a toilet!
    • Fresh water facilities for washing camera equipment
    • Lunch & light refreshments
    • Snacks, tea, coffee, and fruit on board between dives
    • Beach towels and cold face towels
We firmly believe that our customers should experience not only the best diving Bali has to offer, but also the best level of accommodation and customer service. With our wealth of dive industry knowledge and experience to draw on, our goal is to provide our customers with only the best. Absolute Scuba was established primarily to service the global scuba diving community, catering for small and personalised groups. We pride ourselves on not being the cheapest but the very best value for money, giving exceptional service, accommodation, Scuba education and diving.
Deep down you know you deserve the best, so get it with Absolute Scuba Bali

Yes good operator can make the trip easy, cheap & comfortable. I remember the time when we were in Amed, which is located between Tulamben and Candidasa. It was a fabulous trip. Our dive operator arranged transportation and a guide/divemaster for two one-day diving trips for us.We were took to the wreck and walls at Tulamben which is the best dive sites in Bali. The dives were magnificent.
