AP uses a 2 digit date code on their cells. I believe most change their cells on an average of 12-18 months.

The 2 digit code consists of a letter then a number. The first letter digit represents the month. So in my hand is a spare new cell we just ordered 5 days ago from Silent Diving Systems whose 2 digit date code says; "H8"

The H is correlated to months of the year such as A=January, B =February, etc.

With H being the 8th letter in the alphabet, this would correspond to the 8th month of the year, being August. 8 refers to 2008, so this cell was made in August, 2008.

The fact that I ordered a cell from Silent Diving Systems and it got here in less than 5 days, and that the cell is so fresh it was made within the last 30 days is pretty impressive!
