Saying Hello

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself.

I am a member of a metal detecting forum and frequently read about those who detect underwater. From reading these posts I have become interested in diving.

My main interest has been shallow fresh water diving but the more I am reading I have also become interested in recreational salt water diving.

I have been to the local dive shop (I have only found one) and talked to them about getting certified.

So, to sum it all up, I have just been reading, reading, reading, trying to decide if diving is something that I would enjoy before I actually spend the money.

I hope that everyone does not mind me lurking while that I am trying to gain all the information that I can.

And yes, I am talking with a heavy southern draw, or writing that is.

Keene Engineering is not too far away and I remember browsing their facility and thinking how fun it might be to to pick up a surface supplied air rig and dredge and look for some submerged gold....
