    Default Wildflower Festival - Dallas

Takes me back, but not necessarily to a place I want to remember.

On a similar note, last weekend we had The Wildflower Festival here in Dallas. We went on Saturday when they featured Blue Oyster Cult, The Guess Who, America (remember "Horse with no name"?), Brett Michaels (has he really been doing this for 21 years) and various others. A great day out and well worth it. The Guess Who were excellent, still belting out the tunes and clearly having fun doing it. Blue Oyster Cult were surpisingly good as well, I'd almost forgotten them. If you're in Dallas about this time next year, look out for it.

My favorite band in the mid eighties was a heavy metal band named Saxon. Looked them up on the net and they are still going... Rock and roll never dies!!!

Top 10 Favorite Songs (at least right now)

Thomas Falke "Revolution On The Dance Floor"
    Groove Cutter "My Shooter"
Control One "Just A Little Bit"
    Ian Carey "Redlight"
    Kevin Weg "Dead Radio"
    CIRC "Destroy She Said"
    CIRC "Revolution Song"
    Tristan Garner "Give Love"
    Icebreaker International "Port of Rotterdam"
    Enya "Orinoco Flow"

I tend to find pretty obscure stuff this way.: I search around on iTunes for compliation series that I feel have good selections, and then just buy whole compilations... recently I've been spending way too much money on this series -- http://electricnation2010.com/tracks

Ahhh. The good 'ol hairbands.. Night Ranger, Saxon, Iron Maiden, Def leppard (before they went to Chicks Music), the original Britanny, Britney Fox, Skid Row, and a ton of others. Anyone remember the hot girl bands, Vixen and Phantom Blue??
Thank goodness for XM and Sirius radios.. I can get my Hairband fix 24/7 on XM 41 "The Boneyard"... I know Sirius is called "Hair Nation" but I don't know the channel.
