Default What is the world is this creature?!

This creature was found by Russian soldiers on Sakhalin shoreline. Sakhalin area is situated near to Japan. It’s the most eastern part of Russia, almost 5,000 miles to East from Moscow.

Anyone want to take a guess?

Looks like a beluga whale judging by the head, dentition and apparent size and location it was found. (and I'm sure it smelled really bad, too)
When the North California fishery crashed in the 1940s, everyone in Monterey wondered where the sardines had gone, Ed Ricketts, marine biologist and colleague of John Steinbeck had the answer, "They're in cans."

I saw those photos quite some time ago. I believe it was shown to be a hoax.

I don't think the pictures are a hoax, but they are not recent and they aren't of something unknown.
