We have so many wrecks in the English Channel that we don't even have to dive some of them?
I thought this was a really cool, if old, image from my home town (until I moved a few years ago ):-

very cool picture,
I noticed on charts I've seen over there that there are probably hundreds if not thousands of wrecks there, simply amazing.
The Channel is a very busy sea route, can have atrocious weather and was 'quite busy', despite its small size, during WW2. I suppose it was bound to end up with a few wrecks.
I'll bet that was some sight. I can't believe more wasn't done to preserve it. Different times, I guess.
Shipwrecks UK Ltd have just finished compiling a database of information on wrecks around GB and Ireland with 44,000 wrecks listed!
Yep, we have quite a few!!
