This compute allows users to download into it various third party deco software into it. As an example, a user buys the computer, then can get V-Planner and upload it.

No one from my dive team had any contact with him before he decided to post this video.

Has Dripper ever dived an X1 unit?

the X1 on this video is mine.

It only had three dives on it. One in warm tropical water, one under ice and the last one in the St-Lawrence's cold winter waters.

You can see the temps the computer was exposed to on these jpgs.

This video shot was initially intended only to show Eric Fattah what the display looked like NOT to end up on a web forum.

Anyways. The computed still computed normally, downloaded normally. It functionned perfectly during the dive, the display being normal and never sluggish as can be an LCD.

I noticed the faulty display a few minutes after surfacing.

The top lines of the display are fuzzy.

Liquivision has been very diligent in wanting to analyze the problem at hand and in replacing to unit while investigating the problem. Liquivision has already mailed me a replacement unit via Express Post. It should be in Montreal in two days.

We also dove another X1 unit on that day, no issue with that one.
We plan on going back to dive the St-Lawrence river next tuesday if it has not completely frozen over. With yet again, two X1 units.

As planned, we took two units back in the frigid waters of the St-Lawrence river.

According to NOAA, water temp. was 0.7C, the X1 showed 1.5C and my Sensus 0C. All will agree for COLD!

We were in the water for 67 minutes with no issues with the units.

For the few that we have heard have had issues with their's, we're also hearing the company is really standing behind their product, so thanks for the update.

I bet at that water temperature, it is nice breathing warm gas instead of almost freezing gas.

They are, they have sent a loaner through the mail so I do not stay without a unit while I wait for a unit that should get to me by March 15th.

I bet at that water temperature, it is nice breathing warm gas instead of almost freezing gas.

You really notice the difference doing bail-out drills. That compressed air is really cold.

Loop temperature stayed a 47F throughout the dive.
