This is a perfect example of how the men sitting beside him showed great restraint and calm. Even the tone of their voices reassuring was the mark of a professional on control of himself.

Had this been a U.S. carrier, the flight crew would have further antagonized him by threatening arrest, then the onboard police would have beat him, pepper sprayed him, hog tied him, pistol whipped him, then tased him, all the while screaming; "Stop resisting!"

We have already seen a women with little children arrested at US airports for emptying a sippy cup of water so she could get past TSA insecurity, (click here for that video) although in fairness, the threat potential of a water packed sippy cup cannot be underestimated.
