I thought it might be interesting to start a thread on what pieces of dive equipment you have purchased and regretted it.

I got one of those wide neoprene mask straps and never liked it. It doesn't stretch enough and makes it hard to get over my gigantic nose. Of course, I've had it for like 8 years and haven't changed it.
A snorkel (have collected close to a hundred off the various bottoms.)
Spare Air
Sherwood regulators (never did like their dry bleed systems)
Don't know exactly what it's called but it connects to the lp hose and is a horn that sounds like a quacking duck. Pretty much a piece of junk. Also like bama a spare air. Still carry it but have never used it, but I guess that's a good thing.
Aluminum 80's and 100's
I have 6 of them, and would much rather have 2 steel 95's
But how much do I really regret it? Not that much, because they have provided me with great service on 100's of dives.
My first set of fins - they gave me really bad cramps in the arch of my foot..but still have them (collecting dusk on top of the wardrobe)...
I had loads of other stuff that i've brought and regretted, but that isn't dive related
Lottie
My first wetsuit. A 3mm off-brand Farmer John. It would bunch up behind my knees and pinch a hole in my skin after just two dives. I wore it twice and then sold it on eBay. And, just so you don't think I'm a total Cad, the person that bought it LOVES it. It fit them better than it did me, I guess.

My first set of fins that didn't fit properly and my first weightbelt that had the same problem.
