New VL24 & VL8 LED Lights from Gates

Gates Underwater Products has partnered with SubAqua Imaging Systems to design a series of new LED underwater video with the VL8 for the prosumers and VL24 for professionals.

Both models feature modular battery packs that are removable so a 2nd battery set can be charged while the lights are in use.

Both versions will have half and full power settings in the 1 hour range at full power and a little over 2 hours for the half power setting.

Both versions will be available in color temps of Tungsten (3200K) and Daylight (5500K). Other color temps by special order. The LED manufacturer rated lumens output is 2300 for the VL8 and 7000 for the VL24,

The above photo are working prototypes, but both housings will grow slightly to achieve full neutral buoyancy, with the VL24 in the 4.8" diameter x 5" length range and the VL8 about 3.75" long.

We're awaiting word on battery types and final version photos.
