Training Opportunity in Thailand

SSI Thailand is currently looking for candidates to be sponsored through an Environmental Mapping procedures Course EMP.

We are looking at training one person from every associated SSI Thailand school to instructor level.

The course is 4 days long and teaches you how to set up Environmental Mapping Projects and how to conduct ongoing reef surveys.

So far 3 candidates have completed the course and all state they have an increased knowledge of Reef structure and its ongoing problems.

To start with we are running this programme in the Gulf of Thailand and will be looking at expanding to cover the Andaman coast and beyond over the next year.

Once trained any revenue raised by SSI from certifying EMP students will be directly reinvested into Local environmental projects ,Hopefully setting a precedent for sustainable reef projects .

Candidates must:

Be an Active SSI Instructor or Dive Con
Be Associated with an Active SSI School
Have a recommendation from Dive school manager/Owner
Show commitment to offering ongoing EMP training.
