Which Maldivian Island would you recommend?

We are thinking of booking to go to the Maldives again next year but want advice/recommendations on which Maldivian Island other divers would recommend. Previously we have visited Meeru (which was lovely but we have heard it has become over developed) and Villamendhoo (our favourite but my husband would like a change).

We want somewhere which is reasonably priced (similar price bracket to Villamendhoo and Meeru), very unspoilt - we like natural desert island type locations and are concerned about the way some islands are becoming very over developed and we want something which offers diving on the house reef so that we don't always have to do boat diving. Oh and this might sound a little unsocial but I am quite a shy person and would prefer, if possible, an island where you don't have to share a table with strangers! :o This was possible at Villamendhoo.
