Diver Found After Drifting for 2 Days

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, February 20th, 2010

A dive described as a Saudi man was found on the 2nd day after he disappeared while diving with his two dive buddies.

After the 3rd buddy failed to surface with the other two, they alerted the Coast Guard and provided GPA coordinates to where they were. They could not locate the missing diver that day, and the following day the search was also unsuccessful. On the day after that, the drifting diver was located and rescued.

His condition is unknown after such a long exposure, but reports say thgat they were all spearfishing, an illegal activity in Saudi Arabia.
