These were taken around 2004-05 time in Pennsylvania just east of the Ohio State Line at a park called "Raccoon Park".
The bottom is rocky and slopes gently out. With all the crayfish living here the bass are always around. Within 10 minutes we had 75 - 100 of them around us waiting for us to turn over the next rock. We were hand feeding them before long...
Sadly, the last time I went out to snorkel there all I found were gobies. Seems they were introduced in ship ballast just as the zebra mussels had been. Only they like crayfish embryos...
