I wanted to see what editing software you all use.

We use Apple Final Cut Studio.

I use Avid Media Composers, but it's probably not fair because Hi-Def documentary production for broadcast and theatrical release is my business. I own 3 Avid edit suites and try to keep all of them busy every day.

I use Ulead Media Studio Pro 8. Ulead has their consumer Video Studio series, now verson 11 which does HD and AVCHD. MSP8 is their prosumer version. I shoot HD and MSP will burn HD-DVD on regular DVD-R media, and it will burn data BluRay on regular media which most BluRay machines will read. Mostly I convert to SD widescreen to share with others. Search youTube for scubajam to see clips. There's a couple in the Sharing forum also.

I started out with Sonic Foundry's Videofactory and then just kept upgrading through the eventual sale to SONY and the latest release of SONY Vegas 7.0.

Adobe Premiere and Sony Vegas (for HD). Occasionally FCP or iMovie when I'm working on board cruise ships that use Macs for editing.
