There’s a certain magic about Annie Crawley! Raised in the Midwest with a passion for adventure and the underwater world, this motivated educator has dedicated her time to exploring the sea and passing along her discoveries to the next generation of scuba divers – our young people. This enthusiasm shows through in a major way with her Dive Into Your Imagination® DVD Series.

The three-DVD series contains original, high-quality underwater footage shot by Crawley at such diverse locations as Australia, Belize, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Galapagos, the Caribbean and the Southern California coastline. The inspired adventurer weaves together fantastic imagery, fascinating facts and just enough learning to keep kids 2-8 (the target audience) enchanted and entertained each time they view one of the programs.

The first program, What Makes A Fish A Fish, was released earlier this year. The 37-minute DVD, which has both English and Spanish narration tracks, teaches children about the astounding marine life found around the world. Segments talk about such topics as “how fish take a bath”, “The truth about sharks” and “hide and seek on the reef”. Each segment is written for younger audiences who play a role in the growth and future of scuba diving and marine environmental awareness.

The second and third productions are titled Who Lives in the Sea (45-minutes available now) and Dive Into Diversity (41-minutes, available next month). Crawley said the reception to the first title was so overwhelming that the decision to develop additional titles was simple.

“There really aren’t many DVDs or programs specifically for kids,” the well-spoken photographer explained. “As I traveled and dove in fantastic places like Australia, Belize, Galapagos and Papua New Guinea, I discovered sights and creatures that inspired me to want to share the underwater world with a new generation of divers. The Dive Into Your Imagination® series allows me to ‘give something back’ in a new and unique way.”

This isn’t Crawley’s first high-profile production. Previously, she developed Ocean Life from A to Z a 32-page book and companion DVD that was released in February by Reader’s Digest Children’s Publishing. Very well-received, Ocean Life from A to Z has sold nearly 100,000 units in the first few months of initial release.

Crawley, an in-demand presenter and public speaker, said that the Dive Into Your Imagination® series had recently been added to the offerings at the highly profile locations including the Baltimore, New England and Shedd Aquariums in addition to several local dive retail stores.

Each Dive Into Your Imagination® DVD has a suggested retail price of just $19.95. For more details, visit the website at Annie Crawley Books (http://anniecrawley.com/dvd_books/index.htm) .
