I hope it is not one of those $400 USD ones!

At least with the Gate housing you can get in a +4 diopter on the flip down in case a thresher shark or whale shark shows up at Pescador island while you're filming macro.

you are right "best of both worlds" nudibranch till whale shark is possible.
The tripod is self made with ball joints and aluminum sticks, nothing fancy but effective. I'm not a fan of buying everything from the self, 16 years Philippines has taught me that you can make a lot of stuff cheap and personalized for your needs.

Thanks for the video. I had actually always assumed the diopter would have a much more noticeable negative effect on the image quality.
