hi,
i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Panasonic DMW-MCTZ3 Underwater Case for DMC-TZ3 / DMC-TZ2. i like the camera...it offers great optical zoom and is pretty compact...but i don't want to drop $200 on the underwater housing if it's going to negatively affect the picture quality.

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

thanks!

All these housings are pretty much the same. If you can add an external strobe down the road, you are that much better off.

some friends have the TZ7 with Pana OEM case & the pics & videos came out good. I have the TZ7 myself, but opted for 10bar housing. Havent tried it UW yet.

I have the Panasonic ZS3 with the DMW-MCTZ7 underwater housing. It's not quite the same as the model you're looking at, but I think it's very close. The image quality is good with the housing I have and I suspect you won't be disappointed with what you're looking at. Of course, low light or poor viz will both make for crappy pictures
