The above Hippocampus debelius, or soft coral seahorse, was named after Helmut Debelius, noted marine animal researcher.

Initially sighted in the Red Sea in 1993, it took a decade later to find new specimens to trigger new classification.

Seen above, the Walea pygmy seahorse is named after Walea Island in the Central Sulawesi Indonesia archipeligo, the only place it has been spotted.

This seahorse above is named after dive guide Satomi and was found in Indonesia recently

The pygmy seahorse above is Severns's pygmy seahorse, named after diver Mike Severns.

The above pygmy seahorse, and a little more know in macro underwater imaging circles is Hippocampus pontohi, named after Indonesia dive guide Hence Pontoh.
