See if you all can identify this mystery rebreather. I personally have no idea. I can see it has abbreviated over the shoulder counterlungs and a BOV I don't recognize, but have a go at it.

I'm just guessing here, but it looks a little like SC Viper with BOV. I'm not saying it is, it just look like. A bit. Viper is a military unit, used to cleare mines. I think it's canadian.

The Viper SC does have that gizmo on the diver's right side that sort of reminds me vaguely of the KISS valve....maybe you're onto something

You mean oxygen manual add valve. Yeah, that was the thing that got me wondering too. But the thing about military rebreathers is, that they often come custombuild.

Well, I would be surprised to find out a military rebreather would have a KISS 02 addition valve....so I called it a gizmo....the catch-all phrase! ;) You would think the military would be about task loading reduction......

I tend to be bit litteralminded:o. And I don't think it's same as KISS's manua O2 valve. It just looks the same. The gizmo I mean. Where did you get the photo? It might help.

Oh, on the task loading. I'm thinking somekind of plan B (as in backup).

That makes sense.....I don't know where the photo came from, we get so many forwarded to us each month, but I think it was a government article in Singapore.
