Did 3 dives at Anacapa yesterday on my buddy's RIB. Perfect topside conditions, almost no swell, little wind, sunny, and temperature in the mid 70's. Diving conditions were very good as well, vis ranged from 30-60 feet, water pretty warm for CA standards at 63-68 depending on depth. Saw my first giant sea bass, sea lions, seals, bat rays, and monster sheepshead. Unfortunately my fiber optic cord broke on my fash and had to do most shots without the strobe. Still got some decent pictures though. Pictures at my photobucket:

Those sheepshead are some odd fish! I noticed they like to follow you around, until you try to look at them. The viz looks great compaired to when I was there.

The sheepshead are a bit of a strange fish. Very curious, even the females. They tend to circle around you for a while before moving on. Don't taste too bad either, kink of like an imitation crab.

Sheepheads all start out as Female and turn male as the population demands! The older bigger ones are all males! If the head male dies or is eaten the biggest female will become male! ;)

Someone else told me that before, but I forgot until you just reminded me.
