Hi folks,

as you probably know a very common question in underwater forums is the following: "I have been snorkelling/diving for X years now and would like to take some underwater pictures this holiday for the first time. I don't want to spend a four digit figure. What do you recommend? What are the most important camera settings? Is there a difference between shooting underwater and on land? How do I edit my photos on the computer so that they look even better?"

I have tried to answer all those questions and many more on my new website: Getting started in underwater photography (http://underwater-photography.webconrad.com/)

I wanted to include some photos here, but it does not work?!

I spent US$230 on my equipment (camera + housing).

Full-size photos and videos can be found here (http://underwater-photography.webconrad.com/photos-videos.php)

Cheers
Clemens

That software "noiseware" looks interesting ...

A useful resource Clemens, especially for relative newbie photographers like myself.

Have just set up a site of my own photos, including an underwater gallery. Only a few pics at the moment - a work in progress, but would be grateful for any comments, feedback or suggestions.

Andrew, I really like that nudi on the Alma Jane wreck. I have visited that wreck many times.
