I just had a chance to check out a most amazing book called The Deep-
The Extraordinary Creatures of the Abyss (http://www.thedeepbook.org/)By Claire Nouvian.

It has some of the most bizarre animals to be seen.

This would make quite the coffee table conversation book!

That dumbo octopus looks kinda sweet...thank goodness for photographs otherwise we'd never see any of these things.

At 1.5m, I hope he has a sweet personality! haha ... Isn't that like 5 feet? Looks like a great book!

It's an amazing book. I recommend it to all. Claire did a great job of sharing with the world what only a very few of us have been privileged to see before. I am fascinated by the images in the book because there are many images in there that are new to me.

Looks great, I'll add it to the Christmas list for this year.

I had planned to go on a deep (down to 2000 feet, as I recall) dive when we were in Roatan hoping to get a little glimpse of some deep sea critters but, unfortunately, it was cancelled due to weather. Shame, I was looking forward to putting that one in the log book. ;)
