Cocoa Beach is not the Keys. As a matter of fact it is about 250 miles or so to Key Largo (the first Key on US 1 after the mainland) from there.

SE Florida is close to the keys, he lives on the Central East Coast. The South East Coast would be West Palm Beach County and south or so.
