Let's see....no feedback, item not covered by E-bay's useless protection, item location in Chicago, but ships from Europe, oh, and my personal favorite, user id kept private.

Anyone know whose unit this is?

If you ask him for the serial number to check with SDS, he should have no problem if it is legit.

Here is an e-mail he sent to an inquirer:

Cheers. I can tell you that the unit is ready to be used and it's the most reliable of its kind. The unit is exposed in our shop in based in southern Spain, Europe. Shipping costs to California will be somewhere at $79 including insurance. We have a shipping discount wich we intend to use in order to make this more convenient.
And if you are so eager we have a reasonable buy it now price wich consits of $6900 including transportation costs. If the price winks you feel free to give us a call or leave you telephone number so that we can work on details. Have a nice weekend.
Sincerely,Peter Sliwa

one would think that the shop selling the CCR is crazy and irresponsible.
who sells a rebreather without insuring that the buyer has gone through the proper training?
just a thought, on the other hand.... i do not know the specifics
