Hi There
Making some video's in Thailand at the moment but the water is a bit green, how can I solve this problem???:D
White Balance is O.K!

Hello Sun, welcome to the SMN Community!
Green is typically caused by water that is not clear and you are too far away from the subject with no lighting.
The fix is get closer and add lighting. You can slightly change the color of the footage by using hi end video editing programs that have color correction tools.

They also make a filter to correct "Green" water! Check the net or contact L & M in San Fransisco CA.

It's amazing what the colour correction in even a low end program will do, but the clarity won't really come back without light.

Nothing beats having the best base to work with! Get a correction filter it is the Least expensive solution. The video I took in Nov at 90ft in crappy viz in Pacific Green water! Video (http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=24964219)
Always start with the best image possible given the conditions! Lights are only effective to about 3 or 4 feet!

True enough. Garbage in, garbage out as they say. I'm surprised the white balance didn't help though.

White balance only sets the value based on shade of white and sets the 255 scale accordingly it would still be hard to get the green out or put red/cyan in with white balance. They make a green water filter and a Caribbean Blue to put the color back in. I find these to be very helpful when shooting big animals or objects far enough away that lights are not effective!
