LAST CHANCE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2007 TURKS & CAICOS UNDERWATER PHOTO COMPETITION

383

The Third Annual Turks & Caicos Islands Underwater Photographic Competition is currently underway and runs until September 30th. Photographers wanting a chance at prizes that include $10,000 IN CASH should grab a flight to the Islands this month to participate. They will then have the month of October to select and submit their best five shots.

As well as cash and subsidiary prizes, each Grand Prize winner will have their photograph published by the Government of the Turks & Caicos Islands as an OFFICIAL POSTAGE STAMP bearing the name of the photographer who took the picture and his or her subject. This means your photo and name could be prized by international collectors and circle the globe many times over.

The top 12 photographs entered in the Competition will also become the twelve months of the annual “OUT OF THE BLUE” Turks & Caicos calendar showcasing outstanding, award-winning underwater photographs.

For further information on this major annual event and to download the entry forms go to WWW.UNDERWATERPHOTO.TC or contact any of the participating Dive Operators in the Islands. All are listed on the site.

The Turks & Caicos – immediately south of the Bahamas - are world famous for their pristine, undamaged underwater world, much of it in highly protected marine parks. Their 500 miles of virgin reefs includes the largest barrier reef enclosed lagoon on the planet, some 80 miles in diameter. They rightly claim you could dive there every day for the rest of your life and not see it all, and maintain that the Turks & Caicos offers opportunities for underwater photographers that are unmatched anywhere in the Caribbean.
